Overnight storm winds brought down three large trees at a retail plaza, blocking the main customer entrance and two parking rows before the property opened for business.
The property manager needed the entrance and parking access cleared before the plaza's tenants opened for the day, with one tree resting against a storefront awning that needed careful, controlled removal to avoid further damage.
The tree leaning on the awning was rigged and lowered in controlled sections rather than pulled free, to avoid sudden load shifts that could have damaged the storefront further. The parking lot was cordoned off around the active work zone throughout the response.
Full access was restored before the plaza's stores opened, with no further damage to the storefront. The property manager received a full photo report same-day for their insurance claim.
