Removing a full-grown tree safely takes more than a chainsaw — it takes a read on the tree's lean, weight distribution, root condition, and everything around it: fences, roofs, hydro lines, and neighbouring properties. Tree Craft Ontario handles removals of any size, from a single backyard maple to large, multi-trunk trees that need to come down in sections.

Every removal starts with an on-site assessment. We check for decay, cavities, and structural weakness, plan the drop zone or rigging path, and confirm whether the tree is close enough to structures or utility lines to require a crane or a piece-by-piece dismantle instead of a straight fell. You'll get a clear, written quote before any work begins — no surprise add-ons after the crew arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends mainly on the tree's height, trunk diameter, condition, and how much access the crew has. Most residential removals range from roughly $300 for a small tree to $2,500+ for a large, hard-to-access tree. We give every job a free, no-obligation written quote after seeing the tree.

Many Ontario municipalities regulate the removal of trees above a certain trunk diameter, especially in urban areas or on protected land. We can help you figure out whether your tree needs a permit and assist with the application where required — check with your local municipal office for the rules that apply to your address.

Branches and brush are chipped on-site. Larger sections of trunk are hauled away unless you'd like the wood left for firewood — just let us know when you book. Either way, full cleanup is included in every removal.
