Some trees need more than a standard removal plan — a significant lean toward a structure, visible root heave, a split trunk under tension, or close proximity to power lines all change how a tree has to come down safely.
For hazardous removals we plan rigging points, drop zones, and cutting sequence in advance, and use crane assistance where a controlled fell isn't an option. If utility lines are involved, we coordinate with the hydro provider before any cutting starts. This isn't a job for a homeowner with a chainsaw — it's exactly the kind of removal our insurance and WSIB coverage exists for.
Warning signs include a sudden or significant lean, visible cracks in the trunk, roots lifting from the ground, large dead branches over a structure, or fungal growth at the base indicating internal decay. If a tree shows any of these, it's worth an assessment before the next storm.
It can be, since it usually requires more planning, specialized rigging, or crane assistance. We'll always explain why a job needs that approach and give you a clear quote before starting — no guesswork after the fact.
We can still assess and quote the job — just let us know so we can plan the drop zone and access accordingly. In some cases it's worth a conversation with your neighbour before work begins.
Tell us about your project and we'll get back to you within 24 hours — usually much sooner. Fully insured, WSIB covered, and serving communities across Ontario.
